About Us
Who We Are
Equi-First Aid North Carolina is the result of a dream to bring the much needed knowledge and expertise of equine first aid to all of the horse lovers and equestrians of North Carolina. My name is Kristen VanHoose and I am the owner of Equi-First Aid North Carolina and a certified equine first aid instructor through Equi-First Aid USA. I have felt for a long time there has been a need for all of us horse owners and horse lovers, to obtain the knowledge and skills needed to help our equine best friends in times of emergency. I believe its so important for us to know what to do before the vet arrives. In instances where our horse chokes or colics or inevitably finds the one nail in the pasture and slices their leg open on it and we need to do something right then because the vet is 2 hours away, I believe it is incredibly worthwhile to learn what to do for our horses in those times of need. I look forward to working with you and teaching you the invaluable knowledge of equine emergency first aid.
